Regardless of your vision, no matter how big or how small you will face struggles and sometimes confusion over which direction to take. However if you have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve it makes it easier for you to connect with people who can help and direct you. Creator of Facebook states something that supports this simple understanding. Mark Zuckerberg responded to a question regarding business “ I think as a company, if you can get those two things right – having a clear direction on what you are trying to do and bring in great people who can execute on the stuff-then you can do pretty well. You must be clear on what YOU want as sometimes there can be a clash of views within your support team and you need to be able to stay on track. Clarity and provision are two key points that need to be addressed in order to make your vision visual. You have to have a determined mind that regardless of things that make you stumble or fall down you will get back up and keep going.

Respect your Values

Do you deny your own values or goals because you worry about offending someone? There’s nothing wrong with moving away from those who will hold you back from achieving your vision. Write down three values that are core to your being. These values can be for religion, environment, health, and family or personal effort…anything that is meaningful to you. For example, perhaps you value education. That is something important to your being. Have you ever found yourself on the other side of the fence only because someone you work with or hang out with doesn’t have the same value? Commit to standing up for what you value even if it means disagreeing with someone else. If you make a conscious effort to protect what you value you will reduce and even eliminate inner conflict. Confusion and conflict slows progress therefore clarity and calm will speed it up. Get into the habit of serving your own needs first as this will make you a stable individual. It will also put you in a good position to deal with difficult people or situations and stay focused as you build your dream.

If you are still breathing after all you have been through then you have every change of achieving the vision you have for your life. Yes if you have experienced and survived knocks such as disappoints, broken promises and rejection and still have a twinkle of hope then things can change. Things can get better if you press forward and hold on to your dreams and refuse to let obstacles and challenges rob you of the future you desire. From any experience you can learn something, either what to do or what not to do. How you react and bounce back from negativity or hardship will determine how quickly you are able to recover and move on. You build your muscles by applying pressure; character, understanding and knowledge are built in the mist of pressurising circumstances and situations. You are stronger than you think so look at challengers and obstacles simply as a weight you can use to exercise and increase your strength. The stronger you become the more you gain the  ability and wisdom needed to achieve your life goals.

Give Something Freely

One of the greatest gifts to another person is to show them how to do something. This reinforces your skill and increases their value, too. If you cannot think of anything you have to share then give someone a kind or encouraging word. We all have the ability to build someone up with a good word. Right now, think of something you know or a kind word that you can show to another co-worker, friend or family member. Hopefully they will be appreciative which will make you feel positive and empowered. There is something energizing about sharing your knowledge, abilities and kind words. Through giving and helping others you will receive more than what you give out. The person you help may share your kindness with others and you never know when you might need someone to speak up for you. We live in a time when it is easy for people to speak of you especially on social media. Get into the habit of sharing and you will reap the reward that will in turn boost your motivation.

5 Tips to Remove or Reduce Negative Influences

  1. Make a concious decision to protect your dream or vision and refuse to be around people who speak against it.
  2. Everyone is free to have an opinion but it is your choice whether or not you allow a negative opinion of you effect your motivation.
  3. Successful goal achievers have little or no time to worry about what people think or say  about them; the end goal is more important.
  4. Never feel guilty for avoiding negative people. The best thing you can do for yourself and them is to do everything you can to stay positive.
